Biography
The Cavatina Duo has become one of the most impressive combinations of its kind.

After wining the “Young Musicians of the Doelen” competition in Rotterdam, (Netherlands)in 1996, their powerful and versatile performances have captivated the audiences in many festivals of chamber music across Europe and USA, Aix en Provence summer festival (France), Eem&Veem festival in Groningen (Netherlands), International Guitar Festival in Frechen (Germany), Dame Myra Hess (USA), The Link (Netherlands), TaiPei National concert Hall (Taiwan). Cavatina’s original programs and exquisite musicianship are now making the way through music halls in North America, Europe, South America and Asia. Thrilled audiences simply wish their prompt return after hearing this “extraordinary duo”.

Eugenia Moliner has been acclaimed as a brilliant young musician by the British Flute Society magazine. She performs with pianist Rob Broek and with other chamber groups, The New Opus Trio and Cavatina Duo. Eugenia’s discography includes one CD’s for the Spanish Label Opera Tres and two for the label Orobroy.

Denis Azabagic is considered to be among the elite guitarists of the world. He is recognized for his marvelous tone and technical virtuosity. Denis has played with orchestras in Europe and in USA. He is a usual guest in concert series and venues such as Masters of guitar at the Concert Gebouw, Holland, Radio France, France, etc. Winner of ten most prestigious international contests he has a discography which includes 6 CD’s a video recording (Opera Tres, Printemps de la Guitarre, Naxos, Mel Bay) and a manual entitled “On competitions-Dealing with performance stress” published by Mel Bay.

He is a member of the guitar faculty at Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University.

Duo’s performances have been broadcast by radio and television stations in Europe and North America.
